SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, which in a nutshell is what the most popular search engines use to determine your ranking when producing results for users.
All major search engines have primary search results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users.
SEO is completely free and good SEO contributes to where your website and other content shows up on those all important search results. The higher your website and other content appear, the more likely they are to be viewed, which in turn leads to new business, more sells etc etc. – let’s be honest, not many of us scroll through to the 8th or 9th page on Google!
SEO is achieved through using relevant words and phrases, but the thing with SEO is that it isn’t only a time consuming task once, if you want to keep ranking on search engine results, and in turn drive more traffic to your website and other online content, then it’s an ongoing task, that needs to be kept up to date and relevant.
